| Goodbye for a couple of daysNOW THAT WE HAVE THE SBX-11 INSTALLED AT THE LINE CABIN VIKKI CAN HEAD THE 12 KM BACK TO THE BASE CAMP BY HERSELF. SHE HAS A SWED SAW ENCASE SHE COMES ACROSS SMALL BLOW DOWN BUT IF A BIG TREE HAS FALLEN SHE KNOWS BRYAN WILL WAIT 1 HR PLUS 15MIN FROM WHEN SHE LEAVES AND IF HE HAS NOT HEARD HER ON THE SBX HE IS COMING TO SEE WHAT HAS HAPPENED. IT IS STILL TOO EARLY FOR THE BEARS TO BE USING THE HARD COMPACT TRAIL AND HOPEFULLY THERE ARE NO MOOSE ON THE TRAIL. IT IS STILL TOO COLD TO LEAVE THE BASE CABIN AND CHICKENS WITHOUT A FIRE EACH NIGHT. BRYAN WILL PUSH THE TRAIL TOWARDS THE SUTLAHINE RIVER FOR A FEW DAYS. |

Hannah waiting for Bryan like that almost breaks my heart... What a faithful companion she must be.
ReplyDeleteSo...do you patiently wait for the moose? Did you carry a rifle, too, Vikki?
ReplyDeleteI know they can be nasty and unpredictable in the fall. Are they aggressive in the winter? Here in MN the moose are dying from the warmer temperatures of the last 10-15 years. It's a huge loss.
Whens your folks season end? 10th of March is season end here, but I'm heading out with my buddy this weekend to cut trail to his furthest line cabin, which has never had a trail to it yet.
ReplyDeleteShould be fun.
By the way, my spys tell me Guy is getting himself one heck of a boat for the lake.
Good for you Vikki glad you got back safe and sound.Brian
ReplyDeleteHi Folks
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't get enough of those pictures--beautiful. I like your antenna set up too. The height is near optimum for short range contacts...the wire leading into your cabin looks like a twin conductor variety. \it should work but you may have a high swr or reflected power...your package, when it gets there, should give you a big improvement in performance--both transmit and receive...again, great photos...whats the rifle? .300 mag?
