4 Cel. We'd noticed a big colony of Beavers up at First Swamp in Walkers Valley. Now that the ice is opening we are going to take one or two.
We use a 330 Conibar in an underwater set.

If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.
So nice to see Hannah still right with it! and seemingly so interested in everything going on.
ReplyDeleteDo the goats go to lower elevation in the winter? Where and when do the wolves get them?
ReplyDeleteHi Art... we've observed Mtn Goats in the tree line way below the Mountains they stay on, in Feb. The wolves tracks head right up to the ridges on the Goat Mountains. The Goats winter on Mountains that get a really high wind to blow off all the snow. This Centre Mountain has a large wind swept slope on the Western side. These open slopes are along way away from the cliffs. If the Wolf can walk on top of the snow it goes up there.
