If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.

Bryan & Vikki, I am working around Westlock Alberta right now, its like Spring around here with hardly any snow at all. Really makes you wonder whats going on with the weather around the world.
Great! The snow came off and left the roof intact. Bryan, have you tried out your trail grader yet?
Thats pretty cool!
Have you heard that there is a lot more snow south of you near the coast?
Chris
That's huge work. We have essentially no snow in MN. Last week I drove through NE IA and western WI and there was no snow their either. Given that it really did not rain after JUL 4 our ground moisture is going to be very inadequate going into spring 2012.
Even more strange it's going to be 55F in central MN today but dropping to 5F in a couple of day. I'm headed out to work on a 50" oak laying in my back yard.
Pace yourselves and travel safe.
Wow, it takes a lot of work to shovel that much snow! Thanks for taking the time to post to this blog. You do a great job and it is most appreciated. I love learning about your lifestyle. Stay safe out there!
