We made our way up 11.5 km on the Sutlahine having to cross the river to the other side TOO MANY TIMES for a feeling of comfort. We still have 12 km of untravelled river to see before we can say the 80 km circle has been made, but it is just not safe to finish it this season. Been a really mild winter all told but that has also allowed us to get lots of trail cut in lesser snow conditions than normal. Now we are looking on the internet for floatation snow gear. We would be wise to wear this when travelling in the Bush Plane also.

Hey Bryan&Vikki treat yourselves to the survival gear !! Is your winter ending a lot sooner this year than previous years?
:)Brian(:
Did you get the 1979 snowmachine running?
looks like thats some pretty wild water under there. cant tell how deep it is but i'm sure that caution and that special equipment is probably a good idea. can you reach that point on the river during the off winter months.
Hi Ken.... water is only 3 feet at this time of year on the Sutlahine but it's the crossing of the River that is dangerous. If you go under the ice you are gone. No we can't reach this River in the summer... only by skidoo in the winter after lots of frozen ice is created.
Hello Brian....Spring is still 2 months away. Snowed a foot today
No Art.....We need a wire tester. Also we've been busy building a couple of tree stands for moose hunting next fall. There will come a period in the next 2 months when we can not skidoo away from our cabin and then that will be the time to try to get it running.
Bryan and Vikki,
Why would you build tree stands and not just call the moose to the edge of the lake and boat hunt?
