Day 2 1979 Alpine Twin Track

First we had to find it, then shovel and chainsaw it out as trees had fallen over it and populars had grown thru it and around it. We took off everything except the tracks and the hood. All the parts were wired and roped into the skimmer. "Poncho" the 550 Tundra brought the stripped down twin track up the river to the bottom of the mountain and went back and pulled the load of parts home.

I once dug away debris at a mill I worked at to find pieces of an old water wheel. Every lunchtime I would slide down into the gorge and shift junk. I found it in the end and enjoyed the mission .Its good to dig out some history :)Brian(:

That brought back memories of driving the old Alpine up and down the hills of the ski hill back home. They were quite the machines.
