My compliments on the sets! Keeping caught animals hanging well out from the set tree and nicely off the ground. Bet there ain't much preditor, bird or mice damage to your fur. Nice to see pros in action. I (we) appreciate your obvious respect for your catch.

Hi!
Are there many lynx this year? I know it fluctuates with the snow shoe hare. Here it seems to be a good year for rabits. But i would not know where it is in that cycle.

Hi Bryan&Vikki
It looks like the weathers on your side as well as some good trapping. Could you maybe show us followers how you prepare and cure your furs ?Cheers :)Brian(:

Hi Brian H.....still one month to go and we are ahead on Wolverine, Weasel and about the same for Marten this year. we have so little trail here ...only 20 km we are using this month. resting the other 20 km

Thanks Evan....we like these upside down boxes. Our trapper friend on the line 25 km south of us told us about this idea. It keeps the snow out...keeps birds from being caught...keeps fur away from the pitch on the tree. A wire is attached to the trap which swings out and so marten is high and away. We lost 5 marten one year to marten eatting caught marten.... this upside down box helps

Hi Jozien....lots of rabbits here also... we had lots of lynx here early in the season...but only the one track in a month here. The rabbit cycle is rising here.

do you sell privatly or just to a fur buyer,if so what would you ask for a wolverine hide, thinking fur ruff

Hello Irwin. yes we sell privately. We have tanned and untanned Wolverine. Also a beautiful silver fox is beginning tanned and will be ready this summer. we will work out a price in a few days and get back to you. Each fur is judged by what we might get at the sale that year plus tanning and shipping etc. Vikki might also want to make a fur trim so we might also sell 1/2. Looked up your profile and that is a great shot. We really like it.
