The purple wire just above Bryan's finger that runs to the Pink/Red plastic tab needs replacing.
Bryan's wish list would exchange the console system for a tiller system and exchange this bolt Motor Mount for a system with a twist Screw Boat Mount. Bryan will be writing a list of Parts Tomorrow, all this is in Vikki's words and she is not a mechanic... The Grey piece below is ceased up... he tried to take it apart but can't. Nothing moves at all.
Kenny..... Bryan says a BIG Thanks.... He is going to write you a note tomorrow and he will be more specific. There is a console with this motor but we couldn't find the key.

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Vikky. On the control box where your key would slide into the key switch there will be a # stamped into the key switch that # tells you what # key you need for that key switch its a two didgit number. Brian is pointing at the primer pump for chokeing the moter to start when cold, the other part is the tilt system and it should have a flex cable hooked to the rod that has the hex nut around it, the tilt system has to be instaled on engine bracket and the other end of the flex cable is atached to a lever on the side of the swivil bracket when you pull the lever it opens the valve in the tilt housing to let the moter go up and down. If Brian wants to make it into a tiller handle, clamp screw model let me try to find a whole moter with a blowen up power head and no gear case then he can use his power head and jet unit I have an oil tank if he wants for the vro system, I will wait for his wish list and go from there. :)
ReplyDeleteBrian if you want you can Email me at kpeter719@gmail.com if that works better for you.
ReplyDeleteThe grey thing looks like a lift assist that would take the weight of the whole motor to push it down. And I ve seen the black screw be used to bleed down the pressure holding up the shaft/motor.
ReplyDeleteI would hate for you to buy another and it shows up in the same condition.
Just in case it is an lift assist
