How we sell the furs.

A Beautiful Red Fox with black ears and legs.

These are bigger foxes than Eastern and Southern

Red Fox and a Black Fox tipped with white on it's head.  The Black Fox is half again as big as the Red Fox

We sell furs privately threw this Blog to people who want to make up a rug or do a Taxidermy mount.  We also sell the furs threw Fur Harvesters Auction and North American Fur Auction.
Squirrel are sent to Auction and we get  around 1.50 each.  (5 years ago we would get 2.25 each)  These are made into luxurious jacket liners, felt for boots, felt for cowboy hats, fly fishing flies, and even the whiskers are made into good quality paint brushes.
The Wolves are done for Taxidermy and are available by contacting us threw this Blog.  If you leave your email address here we delete it right away (after marking it down) so that you have your privacy. Then we will contact you and send you pictures.  Everything we sell is unconditional quaranteed and a full rebate of cost except shipping is returned upon receiving furs back.
Wolverine are done for Taxidermy.... but we have one being tanned right now for Ruffs.  If you give us the exact measurement of the Ruff piece you would like we will email you a quote.  Wolverine is expensive because of it does not up.
The Red Fox above was taken this afternoon.  It is available for Trim for what we would get from the Auction 70.00...... the lips aren't turned, the feet are cut off. the inside of the ears are gone, etc. You would still have to send it to be tanned.   For taxidermy we ask 200.00.  It is about 5 times the work.  The lips, eyes, nose and ears are turned, the inside of the ears is turned and fleshed and the cartledge is left in.  Even the asshole is turned.  The paws are turned.
We don't know what Marten (Sable) are getting at the auction this year.  They will sell next Auction Sometimes we get 130.00 each.
Weasel (Ermine) sell for 3 to 10.00 at auction.
Fisher selling for trim is going for 40 to 70 at the Auction
When we sell threw the Auctions they deduction the Royalty fees paid to the  Government.
When we sell privately we send in the Royalty fee to the BC Government

  1. Thanks for the fur information. That's very interesting and good to know that you make some reasonable money for your work.

I found the fox photos and info interesting. Back in the 1960's and early 1970's I took a lot of fox in southern MN, primarily via rifle. Pelts were worth quite a bit then and well worth the time. Ours are much smaller than what you have. We also have a lot of gray fox which are primarily nocturnal and probably the size of a really big cat. I've never seen a black fox.

  2. The Fox is a beauty, over here Bryan&Vikki the foxes are shot and snared, often on bird shoots and farm's .Then left to rot I don't like this one bit, if you take them .You should respect them and use them. Thanks for the insight Brian:)

  3. Nice foxes! That is a lot of work for the money you make but you are doing what you love and that's what is the most important. I hope the fur is abundant for you.
