If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.

Happy New Year to all who gather in this cozy little place here on the internet thanks to our friends Bryan and Vicki
It's been about -5F here in MN today and I'm headed 'up north' which for most Minnesotans means anywhere south of Canada. Snowshoes will be in order and lots of firewood to bring the 'up north' place to a habitable temperature but it's nothing like your world. Be safe in 2010 and thank you so much for sharing the beauty and challenge of your life from an 'up north' that is so very far from here. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year! Watching your way of life from afar is so exciting. Looking forward to more coverage in 2010! :)

Hi Guys
I all is well i hope no news for 5 days !!.I was thinking about dropping your bush pilot an email .Tell me not to !! Brian):
We are well here....just having trouble with frozen pipes, plumbing...and all that goes with it. Also the 3000 generator we usually use is down and we are using the 5000 Honda which is a gas cobbler so generator is not on for long. A bush plane is scheduled in the coming week to bring in a new Generator, plus more Menthyl Hydrate encase pipes freeze again. We now have to build a fire over the line from my toilet to get that working again. Thanks for worrying....will try to blog even when SHIT is hitting the fan
