If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.

Is it as quiet out there as it looks in the photos?
Hi TechnoBabe...the silence is amazing...you can hear the wind come. When the wind is in the high mountain it has it's own incredible haunting roar. Now in the winter months we don't even hear the jets flying over on their way to Whitehorse....AND IF WE HEAR A SMALL PLANE (like once ever month) We stop what we are doing....and listen and listen to hear if it is going to land on our lake... last winter we had 2 helicoptors and 6 small planes.. a real treat for us..
Oh how I'd love to trade with you!
Hi Bryan&Vikki.
your world there looks magical in your pictures.
Are the weasels there the same as ours long and thin?
I used to watch one when I first started working in the timber we used to squeak him closer .It was fun watching their antic,s.
Enjoy your wonderful white world .Oh we got some snow yesterday but alas it changed back to our old favorite RAIN!!!!
Brian
