If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.

Nice sheep. Our place 2 horses two dogs and 1 cat. Just wondering about your satelite internet system. Who is your provider and are the systems very expensive to purchase and set up? as I am thinking about a system for next winters trapping season.
hey there guys,
hope all is well. the pics of the cabin look good. very comfortable.always wanted to live in a log cabin. we have 2 dogs 2 cats. one cat is a siamese type looks like yours.timber is a ak malamute and would love to be up there. though he probably would go out and chase a bear.not good. he does ok with the warmer temps down . it got unusually cool today down to 50 f. so we cant complain on that score. i always enjoyed the colder temps and snow when i lived up north, miss the seasonal changes. may relocate at some point.but family obligations prevent it for now. your last note had a email, was that for you or the bush pilot. did you want me to use it. take care ken
Ken.... that email address is the Beaver Bush plane pilot who looks after us. If we are not bloging it could be we are in big trouble...or it could be that our computor has crashed....Always comment to us first and if no response....after a few days email Chris and say maybe something has happened... If our computor crashes I will have called Chris by Satelite phone to tell him we are okay. In the next week we are going to be going out on the Inklin River where we have never been before. This is not a worry...just precausion. Thanks for being out there.
Steve... yes a beauty sheep. we both went hunting last summer. Took us 4 days to get up to the top and we hunted for 12 days. Saw 45 Rams...amazing good time but again real hard work. I will post the story soon. Satelite cost us 850. and is 110. a month. It is thru Total North in Whitehorse but our other trapper friend has a cheaper service with telephone. Will send you info soon. We had horses down south near Big White but the griz would eat them here. Our dog is a big enough problem with the wolves trying to lure her out.. she is 12
