We'd stopped work for coffee at 2. A shadow form appeared in the brush across the narrow from us 200 feet. Out stepped this big boy. The ice is too weak to support him now.

I am so envious. You get to experience wonders of nature and fantastic events almost every week.
Do you need someone to step in, while you take holidays in the South? I'd be game. (pun intended)
Yes it is amazing what is out there in our wonderful world if you just take the time to watch and look. Most people are just too distracted....doing things that never leave an impression on their minds.
you sure are seeing some fabulous stuff. I went and checked several of the books you have on your reading list out of the library and amm enjoying them all!
Every day we marvel at what we see. You will really enjoy that list of books .....it is people getting away from the norm and people who have worked real hard.
