Nov 12, 2008.. All the many types of ducks, swans, mergansers, sand pipers and scoots have gone. Just one lone Loon here yesterday. Saw it circling round and round the lake getting altitude so it might have left also. For the winter we have two Ravens, lots of Whisky Jacks, Bald Headed Eagles, woodpeckers and snow birds. Out on trail at lower altitudes we see Mountain Chickadees. Our lake is at 565 meters above sea level and we are approx. 100km from the Pacific Ocean.
