If there is no presence on our land there are some people who think it is up for grabs (like our Northwest Passage). We trap in a remote area of Northern B.C., CANADA, 100 km from the nearest road. We fly in by Beaver Bush Plane and stay here for long periods of time. We are caretakers of the land and this is how we live.

Just wondering what is the structure across the lake from the swans?
Does your lake have an official name? We are on a lake cleverly named 'Lake Eleven.' It's in section 11 of a particular township.
Hi George... the Guide Outfitter who had this area built a really big lodge here back in 2004. He sold his area in 2007. There were visitors there for a few weeks each year but no one in the last couple.
That was a bridge you saw in the moose swam photo.
Morning Art..... yes lake has an official name. People have been flying in here on bush planes since they could fly. there are old gas drums around the lake from the real early days. If we had your email address we could send you more info. I would delete it off the blog immediately after receiving it.
No, the thanks goes to you for bringing us this wonderful adventure! Each installment had not only me, eagerly awaiting more!
