We'd bought new 6 " stove pipe and when the barrel stove was moved from the greenhouse to the trapper shed/chicken coup this fall the new stove pipe was installed. Well, we found out a few days ago that we put it in wrong. You can see how the creosote has dripped down threw the seams. Bryan took it all apart, turned it the other way and scrubbed off the stuff on the outside. Quite a messy job.

Good thing you've noticed that early before it becomes too damaged. Hmm, Creosote is quite a tough chemical, what did you use to clean it up?
