Lone Mountain Goat

Saw this lone Mountain Goat a few days ago.  It would walk for a little ways then starr behind on it's trail.  It would keep watching for 20 minutes then process another little ways.  Then after about 3 hours ( with lots of trail watching) we saw it finally go around a cliff. We thought it was on it's way but after awhile it retraced it footprints and went to where it could really see it's previous trail.  After it was really sure it was not being followed it grazed on the hillside for an hour or two.  Then at dusk we saw it back in the canyon cliffs laying down.  I keep saying it because it is really hard....unless you are real close to see the difference in the horns.
This goat is in full winter coat.  Thru the Sawarski hi definition spotting scope you could see every detail.  These photo's were just taken with the Nikon Coolpic P60 camera mounted on a mono stick so it is hard to get a good shot.  Next year I will try to buy a good tri pod just for this camera.  Goat is about 800 yards away.
