Getting Stuck in the Sutlahine River with "Miss Piggy"

The story came out on the SBX radio the following morning. 
Bryan said "I swore Henri to secrecy last night, but this morning I've decided to tell you".
Vikki said " You had trouble with the River!" " Well, Yes!" "but we made it out okay."
This is how it went.  They'd cut the trail  on the shore through the trees because the Sutlahine River was open.  They made it another 2 km when they came to a cliff beside the open River.  
They went back the 2 km and found a spot of open water that did not look too deep.   Bryan drove "Miss Piggy" the 800 Skandic SWT slowly into the river and got 30 feet across.... but instead of the far shore getting shallower, it got deeper.  All of a sudden there was water on his back storage area and his chainsaw was underwater.  It was 2 1/2 feet deep there. The machine would not climb up onto the ice shelf.  
Now Henri has experienced water troubles before.  He had thought Bryan would take the Skandic across quickly and was surprised Bryan had driven so slowly....Henri took his boots off and put large black garbage bags up onto his legs, tucking the tops into his pockets... then put his snowboots back on.  He made his way over to Bryan and his stuck 800.  Bryan had retrieved his chainsaw and started to cut the shelf ice away in blocks.  Then with Henri pushing and lifting and Bryan pulling they moved Miss Piggy til she could get a grip on the shelf ice and up she went onto the snow.  Returning back across that River, Bryan rode her fast. They headed back the 14 km to the line cabin to dry out and have a couple of shots of Glen Livet.....  He said to Vikki "I sure learned something yesterday."
Vikki asked "Why didn't you use the portable Warn winch?"  "Because I had left it at the line cabin.  I won't do that again." " If it hadn't have been for Henri I would have been in real trouble."
