Merry Christmas trappers! I was thinking about you two today. We find it easy to be happy here on our farm, even though the work is hard and the times can be tough. We're cooking a huge chicken with potatoes and vegetables we grew ourselves. We just butchered a beautiful steer who gained almost three pounds a day on just grass every day of his life, and he turned out fantastic. Your lives seem different but the same, so I imagine your happiness comes easily as well. Not everything is great individually, like the hard trip home to base you just described, but taken as a whole, life is good. You take care and thanks for sharing your lives with us!

1. whenever I shoot images of people rather than "say cheese" I say "look like you like each other." You look very happy. It's a wonderful image.

2. today I drove my 93 year old mother 250 miles to visit her 95 year old sister. They had a typical Norwegian conversation...not much emotion but covering who was alive, who was dead and what they had for lunch yesterday. I kept thinking "I'd rather be shoveling 8 or 9 km of snow."

3. repeat of earlier message...Merry Christmas!

I to wish the both of you and your wonderful companions (pets) a wonderful and Merry Christmas. I hope you have a very successful year of trapping and may you both carry on with this excellent site. I really enjoy coming home from work and clicking on this and reading the progress you both are making and the pics of the greatest outdoors. Please continue this to all of us on your list of followers and the many who just stop in now and then and catch up with whats going on when they stop in. Thanks again. Randy

Hope you had a merry xmas trappers. All the best in the new year to you also.

I pity you with all that deep snow. Deep snow and heavy ski-doos make for sore backs.

Take care

Merry Christmas Trappers and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! You continue to inspire me with your postings of self sufficiency and love of the land in which you live. I mention you in conversation and what you are doing to friends...The Happy Trappers just built a line cabin, oh the Happy Trappers just made sour dough bread out of Miche's cookbook! You've motivated me to finally take the Yukon Trappers course in January and I can't wait. So in short, thank you for the glimpses of life on the line you give us and like others, I'm looking forward this year on the trail with you! Cathie
